Wilma Edwards
October 28, 1947 — February 15, 2017
Wilma Edwards was born at home in Orion, Kansas on October 28, 1947. Wednesday, February 15th at 1:25 am she passed away with her children by her side. She fought a long hard battle of several cancers and beat most of them. The last one however was too much for her weakened state. She was survived by her son, Patrick (Liz) McNamara; daughter, Tammi McNamara; granddaughters, Tara McNamara, Misti McNamara, and Jade McNamara; brother, Bill Maddox, sisters, Helen Cornell, Nancy (Al) Scobee, and Cheryl Maddox. She was a vibrant, sassy, well read, intelligent woman with a strong sense of ethics and moral values. She was fortunate to have found 2 great loves in her life who gave her 2 well loved children. She was known as mom to all her children’s friends. She rarely met a stranger that she wouldn’t have shared what she had with in the belief that if one day she was left with little someone would help her. She was very loved and will be deeply missed. Her legacy will live on with her beautiful granddaughters.
