Warren Robert Lewis, 95, passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, December 30th. Born on September 11, 1923 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Warren was a decorated WWII veteran serving with the 104th infantry division in France, Holland & Germany. He was awarded two Purple Hearts, a Bronze star, and many other honors. He was a teacher, counselor, friend, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and, most importantly, a loving husband to his wife Harriet of 75 years. “Pop”, to his great-grandkids, never knew a stranger and was a man of great faith. He will be missed dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, sister, and his son Malcolm. He is survived by his wife Harriet; brother Vern; sons Marc and wife Carol, Terry and wife Joyce, Kenneth and wife Candi; grandchildren Shawn O’Neal, Bryan and Keisha O’Neal, Clayton Lewis, Katie and Todd Worsham, Derek Gann, Spencer Lewis, and Mackenzie Lewis; 10 great-grandchildren, and many other extended family and friends. Services will be held Friday, January 4th, at 2pm in the chapel at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Wichita.
