Razook, Vivian M., 93, passed away on August 31, 2018 after a wonderful, long life. Trisagion and funeral services for Vivian will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 4, at St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral in Wichita. Interment will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 5, at Mound Township Cemetery in Moundridge, KS.
Vivian (“Vee”), the tenth of eleven children of the late Farris and Sadie (Cohlmia) Razook, was born September 30, 1924 in Moundridge, Kansas.
Vee graduated from Moundridge High School with the Class of 1942 and went on to attend Wichita Business College. She worked for Boeing for almost two years during the war and then tried her hand at retail where she worked for Gateway Sporting Goods. Soon after, she returned to Boeing where she worked for 40 years until her retirement.
Vee loved spending time with her family and close friends. She was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing bridge, attending the theatre, writing poems, playing Santa, working on her church newsletter mailings and volunteering for the church’s annual Lebanese dinner.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Nim Razook, George Razook, Susie Badeen, Blanche Razook, Mabel Gaiser, Fred Razook, Ted Razook, Louise Cohlmia and Marge Cohlmia.
Vee is survived by her siblings, Farris Razook and Gene Razook of Wichita and Nora Courtney of Novato, CA. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
