Tiffany Dick

Tiffany Jo Dick (Pinkston), age 42, passed away on October 16, 2019, at her home surrounded by family. She was born Dec 9, 1976, in Great Bend, KS, the daughter of Chris and Penelope Jo (Garrett) Pinkston. She graduated from Macksville High School in 1995 and attended Sterling College in Sterling, KS. Tiffany married Bob Dick, June 12, 1999, in Great Bend, KS.

Tiffany grew up on a farm near the town of Radium, Kansas. There she learned the value of hard work, and what it meant to do things with excellence. Long hours were spent at an early age at her mom or dad’s feet in a tractor or combine as they farmed. Helping work cattle, painting fences, and driving tractors were many of her memories growing up.

She attended school in Macksville throughout her elementary and high school years and was an excellent student. In high school, her favorite sport was basketball, but she also played volleyball and track. She medaled at the state track meet all four years of high school in multiple events. Her sophomore year, she won state in the mile and her senior year, the 4x400 relay. She set Macksville school records in 3 events her senior year.

In college, she played volleyball, basketball, and ran track. She majored in Business Administration.

Her junior year, in 1997, she and several other Sterling students attended a January Investments class hosted by McPherson College, which was 2 weeks of classroom teaching and 10 days in New York City and Washington DC. It was there in New York City, that she met Tabor student Bob Dick, who was also in the class. It was soon after that trip and meeting Bob, that Tiffany met with her roommates and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

Tiffany & Bob lived in Oklahoma and Colorado for a short time. It was during these moves that Tiffany learned what it was like to be the person who didn’t know anyone and wasn’t part of the group. She took this time to extend herself, making new friends and getting involved. This was a turning point for her and gave her a love for those sitting in the corner who were not a part of things. Having a heart toward those on the fringe continued throughout her life.

In 2012, Tiffany joined Center Pointe Wealth Management. She received her Certified Financial Planner designation in 2015.

Throughout Tiffany and Bob’s time in Wichita, they attended and were actively involved at First Mennonite Brethren Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bob. Her son, Micah Dick, and daughter, Kaitlyn Dick. Parents, Chris and Penelope (Garrett) Pinkston. A brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Beth (Reinhardt) Pinkston. Nieces, Jaidyn, Leah and Keirstin Pinkston, and nephew Grady Pinkston. A grandfather Milton (Bud) Pinkston. And many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will take place at First Mennonite Brethren Church, 8000 W. 21st St N, Wichita from 6pm to 8pm and is open to friends and family. The burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at 9:30am for family only. The funeral service is open to all who wish to attend and will take place at First Mennonite Brethren Church at 11am with a meal immediately following. A memorial has been set up with First Mennonite Brethren Church. Services by Broadway Mortuary.
