Stephen Reighley

We are deeply saddened to announce that Stephen Reighley passed away on August 21, 2024 at the age of 73, in San Antonio Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Bridget Reighley and his two children, Matthew Reighley and Whitney Hughes, who were with him through the ups and downs of his health challenges over the last couple of years. He was the beloved grandfather to two grandchildren, Olivia and Jackson Hughes. He is also survived by his brother Jack Reighley and Jack's wife Kathy, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

Stephen's kindness and spirit touched the lives of his family members and friends; he was always there to help and support in any way he could. His infectious laugh and his never-ending dad jokes brought joy (and sometimes eye-rolls) to many. He was a skilled craftsman and had a passion for home improvement. His creativity and skill helped to transform spaces and he never shied away from tackling a new challenge. A Celebration of Life will be held in his memory at Cozine Life Events Center in Wichita, Kansas on September 21, 2024 for family members and friends.

Stephen's passion was saving the lives of forgotten and neglected animals. In lieu of flowers, it would warm his heart and ours to have any contributions made in his name to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, where he helped to make a difference to animals in need.
