Stephen Lanterman

Stephen E. Lanterman (70) passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019.  Steve was born July 15, 1949, to Earl and Edna Lanterman.  A graduate of Salina Central High School in 1967, he attended Fort Hays State University where he met his wife Mary.  Married on June 3, 1972, they had two sons, Stephen Douglas Lanterman (wife Kimberly) and Mark David Lanterman.  He worked in the sales of welding supplies and industrial gasses for over 40 years where he always enjoyed dealing with his customers and coworkers.  Steve enjoyed time with his family, coaching and refereeing soccer, vacations to the lake, and traveling with Mary and the Sampson, Susie and Dixon families.  He also had a reputation as the dog walker of Park City, as not even foul weather could keep him from walking his border collies.  Steve will always be remembered by those who knew him as a tireless worker who would never hesitate to lend a hand to others and a loving and devoted father and grandfather. Steve is survived by his wife Mary Lanterman; his sons Stephen Douglas and Mark David; his brother Bill Lanterman (wife Cindy); and his grandkids, Tory, Alexander, Keera, Dakota, and Anessa.   Memorial Service, 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S.
