Ryan Benton passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 37. Ryan was born in Wichita, Kansas to George Benton and Sandra Renard and had one sister Lauren, and one brother Blake. Ryan had a very likeable personality and as a result he had numerous friends, many of which shared his passion for music. Ryan wrote, recorded, mixed, and produced hundreds of songs. Musicians from all over the Midwest brought their vocal and/or instrumental talents to his home studio and recorded their piece of one of Ryan's songs.
Ryan was one of the founders of Coming Together for a Cure (CTFAC), a non-profit organization that connects people with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and other rare diseases, with resources to help them on their adult stem cell journey.
Throughout his life, Ryan defied the odds placed on him by DMD. In his 37 years, he accomplished far more than most accomplish in twice that amount of time. He displayed positivity and determination despite the cards that he was dealt. He lived every day doing what he loved, with those he loved the most. Ryan is now up in heaven looking down on us without the earthly obstacles that were placed upon him, and his legacy will endure.
Ryan is survived by his mother Sandra Renard (Curt), father George Benton (Sandra), sister Lauren Walsh (Sean) and their three children - Addison, Parker and Mason, his brother Blake Benton (Mallory Line) and his significant other Kate Baker.
