Ruby Lawyer

Ruby Louise (Green) Lawyer, entered Heaven in the early morning of Monday, July 17, 2017, at the age of 98 years, 11 months, and 18 days. Ruby suffered a serious stroke on Sunday, July 9. Her four children and the extended family stood with her as she made the final journey to her heavenly home. Ruby worked for the Kansas Turnpike Authority for many years, retiring at age 70 in 1988. She was preceded in death by her parents, Holt and Opal Green; husband, Harold "Hop" Lawyer; and granddaughter, Jamie Louise Lawyer. Those remaining with wonderful memories are daughters, Gail (Ted) Pankratz, Marsha (Chris) Hill, Joan (Eric) McLaughlin; son, Eldon (Connie) Lawyer; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church Worship Center, 1415 S. Topeka, at 10 am on Thursday, July 20, with visitation at 9 am. Graveside Committal Service will follow at 1 pm, Cassoday Cemetery in Cassoday, KS. The family will receive friends at Cassoday United Methodist Church, 223 S.
