Talty, Ron, 69, beloved husband of Linda Talty, passed into eternal joy unexpectedly on June 29 at home. Ron was born the eldest son of Rodney and Donna (Talbot) on May 6, 1948 in Topeka, KS. The family moved to El Cajon, CA, where he grew to love the ocean and missed it the rest of his life. The family moved to Wichita and Ron graduated from Southeast High in 1966. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam as a Chinese Voice Intercept Operator stationed on Monkey Mountain. Exposure to Agent Orange during his service contributed to his death from liver failure. He graduated from WSU in 1974 and later obtained an MBA in 1981. Ron was a Finance Analyst at the Boeing Company from September 1974 through August 2006, when he retired with many a story of his work and friends. Ron was very intelligent, had a good sense of humor, and was a very trustworthy and stubborn man. Though he will be greatly missed, we will smile when we talk of the memories of his quick wit, humor, and kindness that he left us. Ron is survived by Linda, his loving wife of almost 12 years; his daughter, Kendice, his sons, Brian (wife Beatriz) and David; and his brother, Mike. He also leaves 5 grandchildren , Teris Talty (at home) Adrian Talty, Aaron Talty, Gabriel Cardenas, and Finnegan Noriega that he enjoyed and was very proud of. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing may donate in Ron's name to the Missionary Outreach at Northside Church of Christ, 4545 N. Meridian, Wichita, KS 67204. Share condolences at www.CozineMemorial.com. Services by Broadway Mortuary.
