Roger R. Reimschisel, 84 of Wichita, KS, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at his home. He was born April 5, 1937, in Wells County to David and Marjorie (Langel) Reimschisel. He was a 1956 graduate of Ossian High School and served in the US Army. After serving his country, he returned to work on the family dairy farm, at Airplane Service Station and as a mechanic at Reimschisel Ford. In 1979, he moved to Wichita, KS to work for his brother, Max in construction. He then worked at St. Francis Hospital as a carpenter and in maintenance. He later worked at Precision Pattern making airplane cabinets before retiring.
On June 15, 1980, in Peoria, IL, he was married to Roberta (Bertie) Farney, who survives. Other survivors include one brother, Max (Judy) Reimschisel, sisters-in-laws Louise (Robert) Reimschisel and Merris (Jim) Reimschisel, many nieces and nephews, and both great and great-great nieces and nephews. His parents and four brothers John, Robert (twin), James and Dale preceded him in death.
A man of many talents, Roger had a servant heart that blessed many of his family, friends and neighbors. He enjoyed oil painting, woodworking, baking, music, traveling, tending his yard and church yard and his flowerbeds...just ask Bertie. He was known for his peanut butter balls and sugar cookies which his family could never get enough of.
Roger was baptized in the Bluffton Apostolic Christian church and upon moving to Wichita was a member of the Wichita Apostolic Christian Church in Wichita.
Visitation will be held at the Broadway Mortuary in Wichita on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Wichita Apostolic Christian church. Burial at White Chapel Memorial Gardens will follow the funeral service.
