Robert Wood

Wood, Robert (Sam), 89, loving husband, father and grandfather, died April 17, 2015. Funeral services 10:30 am, Monday, April 20, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Burial at Kensington Gardens. Sam spent a lifetime in the oil and gas business. He was an avid sportsman, with a love for tennis, baseball, basketball and all his grandchildren’s sporting activities. He was able to pursue his passion for painting upon retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eustace and Norma Wood; brothers, E.H. Buster Wood, Richard Wood and Donald Wood; and sister, Marie Holstad. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Kathy; sons, Jeff (Shana) Wood and Scott Wood, all of Houston; daughter, Rebecca (Robert) Kipperman of Morristown, NJ; grandchildren, Jeffrey Wood, Elizabeth Wood, Connor Wood, Carter Wood, Max Kipperman and Sam Kipperman; and beloved dogs, Ben and Boomer.
