A letter from Danny:
I have lost my Dad, and best friend, Robert "Bob" Sublett. Dad touched my life in many ways, starting as a young boy, working with him in his delivery business. I would help him on Saturdays, starting when I was six years old. I had a uniform shirt that matched his with my name on it. I would follow him and watch him work, fetching him tools that he needed. Watching him work was always magical to me, seeing what he could do with tools, and the stuff he could fix. This experience helped me develop the same skills, which are still helping me to this day. Dad was self-employed most of his life, he had a great work ethic. I do not recall seeing him miss a single day of work for sickness or any reason. More important than that I remember Dad's sense of humor. Throughout any situation Dad could always find a joke, or the funny thing to say, making you laugh and realizing it is not that bad. However, the most important way he touched my life was with the Love he had for my Mom. Dad was totally committed to Mom and had nothing but the deepest Love for her. Their marriage in the early years was rocky, but that changed in later years. Dad became totally committed to Mom. In Mom's final years Dad spent every day Loving her and taking care of her. Dad took care of Mom to the point that it started effecting his health and wellbeing. Dad touched my life in many ways, throughout all my years. The way my Dad Loved and took care of my Mom has made the far greatest impact on my life. I will miss Dad very much.
