Robert Mann

Robert Eugene Mann, 89, died on September 8th 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 15, 1929 in White Cloud, Kansas. He is the son of Ralph Mann and Pansy Gormley Mann. He was married to Joyce Simmons on June 23rd, 1956 in Severy, Kansas. He attended elementary in White Cloud, Kansas and attended High School at East High School in Wichita, Kansas. Robert attended Wichita University for 3 years and then served in the United States Army for 2 years, finishing his college career in 1954 at Wichita University. Bob earned a degree in Mechanical engineering and Mathematics. Upon completion of college, Bob was hired at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kansas. In 1956 Boeing selected Robert to work in the field of computers; in 1958 Martin Marietta hired him and he moved his family to Littleton, Colorado. Bob retired from Martin Marietta in 1991. He is survived by his wife (Joyce); three children (R. Russel, Brad and Beth); 9 grandchildren; a brother (Richard Mann), a sister (Shirley Humphrey) and many nephews and nieces. The interment is at Ft Logan National Cemetery on October 18th and the celebration of life service is October 19th.
