Patricia Carey

Carey, Patricia Ann (Simmons), 79, a true lady, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015. A private extended family graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Patricia was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. She attended Missouri University and Wichita State University. She loved reading, cooking, dining out, vacationing/travel, sports, movies and taking care of her family. She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and volunteered with the Institute of Logopedics and the Wichita Guidance Center. Patricia was the sweetest person ever, unselfish and put the needs of others before herself. Babies always brought a big smile to her face. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson and Betty Simmons. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Larry Carey; sons, Grant Carey of The Woodlands, TX and Damon (Jessica) Carey of Wichita, KS; daughter, Stacy (Neil) Bartley of Leawood, KS; grandchildren, Kalen and Julia Carey, and Ethan, Ava and Mia Bartley.
