Pam Ann Porter, age 67, of Valley Center, KS, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Pam was born December 20, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas, to Everett Eugene and Georgina Ruth (Johnson) Mulkey. The family moved to Derby, Kansas and Pam graduated from Derby High School in 1972. Pam attended Wichita State University where she met and married Michael C. Porter on March 23, 1974. They moved to Hutchinson, Kansas where they lived at the time of the birth of their daughter and later their son. They moved to Valley Center, Kansas in 1982, and with the exception of a year and a half when they lived in Enid, Oklahoma, Mike and Pam have been part of the Valley Center community ever since. Pam worked for many years as the Office Manager at the accounting firm founded by her husband, Mike, in Valley Center at Porter, Carswell, and Raya. She retired in January of 2019. Pam was an active member of Discover Church in Wichita, the Daughters of the American Revolution (Little Arkansas Chapter), the Valley Center Historical Museum, and the Valley Center Chamber. She has held numerous positions and offices with these organizations. Pam loved her family, her community, and most of all her Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Georgina, and brother, Glen Eugene Mulkey. Survivors include her husband, Mike; brother, Eric (Nyla) Mulkey; sister, Susan (Paul) Boucher; daughter, Kristi (D) Burchfiel; and son, Brent (Jaquie) Porter. She also had 5 grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation with family will be held from 2-4 pm, Sunday, November 6, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway. Celebration of Life Service, 10:30 am, Monday, November 7, at Metro East Baptist Church, 333 N. 143rd St. E. The burial will take place at 1:30 pm, Hillside Cemetery, in Sedgwick, KS.
