Nazih A Moufarrij , a beloved father, brother, friend, neurosurgeon, University of Kansas clinical professor and congregant of St. George Orthodox Church, sadly left our world on December 6, 2024. He lived a life rich in service, humility and love. Known for helping so many Kansans with his skilled surgical hands, mentoring medical students and tirelessly caring for his community, Nazih was a beacon of light and hope. He is survived by his sons Iain and Noah, his spouse Sarah, his brothers Ramzi and Walid and sisters in law Carol, Paula, Mayssa and Johanna, and his nephews Kiana, Zina, Afif, Patrick, Paul and Philip. Services will be held at St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral at 5 pm for visitation with family present, 7 pm for Trisagion and Funeral Services. Burial is scheduled for the 12th at 11 at Kensington Gardens Cemetery followed by a meal of mercy at noon at St. George Orthodox Cathedral fellowship hall.
