Morgan Koch

November 26, 2018 — December 1, 2018

Morgan James Koch was born November 26, 2018 to Andrew and Lauren Koch. Due to some complications, he was taken to the NICU where he was presented with some small seizures. It was determined that he was temporarily deprived of oxygen due to some unknown, unpreventable, in-utero "event" shortly before birth. This caused the majority of his brain to swell and be compromised. His family had four and a half bittersweet days with him during which they got to memorize every detail of his perfect face. They held him in their arms during his last moments before God called him Home on December 1, 2018.

He is survived by his parents; grandparents, Dan and LeAnne Delosky of Overland Park, KS, and Tim and Gina Koch of Auburn, KS; great-grandparents, George and Joyce Baggott of St. Louis, MO and James Reed of Wakarusa, KS; aunt, Brenna Koch of Topeka, KS and uncle, Joseph Delosky of St. Louis, MO; and a number of other family and friends. A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, food, or other gifts, the family asks that you consider making a donation in honor of Morgan James Koch to one of the following charities:

Agape Care Cradle, www.agapecarecradle.org. ACC is a local organization that helps provide guidance, goods, and support to parents who are experiencing the loss of a baby. ACC is providing invaluable counseling to the family in their grieving process, and also donating a beautiful urn for Morgan.

Collins Grace Foundation, www.collinsgracefoundation.org. CGF is a local organization that helps provide emotional and financial support to families whose children are in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the days of compassionate care that Morgan received in NICU before being moved into a private room with them.

Andrew and Lauren are grateful for your love and support, and thank you in advance for respecting their desire for privacy while they grieve. It is their hope to honor and celebrate Morgan's life by supporting the above charities.
