Montez Stubblefield

Stubblefield, Montez, 86, passed away January 29, 2019. Born in Houlka, MS, she helped to take care of her siblings and picked cotton before going to school. Montez, at the age of 20, moved to Wichita, KS with her husband to work at Cessna Aircraft Company where she was a loyal employee for 30 years. She loved to work in her vegetable garden and cook from it for her family. Everyone always looked forward to her dinners. Montez was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her late son, Gary Stubblefield, and is survived by daughters, Linda K. Doughty and Deametrice Eyster; grandsons, James Eyster and John Eyster; and great-grandsons, Kevin Eyster, Ethan Eyster and Emrey Eyster; sisters, Joyce Chennault of Tupelo, MS, and Joan Morphis from Houlka, MS. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Al-Ateen, 928 S. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67211. A Graveside Inurnment will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Broadway Mortuary.
