Mike E. Lemon

Michael (Mike) Eugene Lemon

Beloved Father, Friend, Grandpa and Master of the One-Liner

Mike, a devoted father of five and friend to many, passed away peacefully on January 2 at the age of 70. Renowned for his sharp wit and signature one-liners, Mike had an uncanny ability to leave people laughing—or occasionally scratching their heads with a grin.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held this Saturday January 11th 1-3 pm at Linwood Recreation Center 1901 S Kansas, 67211. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor his memory, sharing stories, laughter, and love in the way he would have wanted.

Mike was a man of passion, embodying servitude, unity, and recovery through his daily actions and unwavering dedication to helping others. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including attending concerts, fishing, bowling, game nights, front porch sitting, photography and celebrating achievements—no matter how big or small.

He is survived by his sister, Gwen Cole (Kenneth); brother, John Lemon; best friend Paula Lemon; and his partners in crime, Tim King and Jeff Herrman, who shared countless adventures and laughter with the Kelly’s crew. He also leaves behind his children: Emma (Tara), Jeff (Angie), Lisa (JR), Sara, and Kenny; along with 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Friendship Group AA at 1810 West 26th Street North, Wichita, KS 67204. To truly honor Mike’s memory, crack a joke, deliver a one-liner, or simply brighten someone’s day with laughter—just as he did every day of his life. Share condolences at www.cozine.com. Arrangements by Cozine Memorial Group-Broadway Mortuary.
