Barsby, Michael Raymond, 79, born Aug. 29, 1936 in Woodbine, IA, passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015. Memorial Service will be 10:00 am, Saturday at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita, KS. Michael retired from the Air Force after 20 years and worked for Cessna for 22 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Carroll Barsby and Nina Sorensen; brother, David Barsby; sister, Peggy Redd; and son, Kevin Barsby. Survivors include wife, Roswitha Barsby; daughters, Jan Elfving, Kristi Barsby (Randy Burnett), Mari Dunlop (Rob); step-son, Andreas Mueller; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother, Steven Barsby (Helen Tack). Interment will take place at a later date at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: Lifeline Animal Shelter, 310 W. 45th St. N., Wichita, KS 67204.
