Mary Preston Van Arsdale, 97, Homemaker, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024 at her home in Wichita, Kansas. Mary Preston "Press" was born November 6, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Clara Van Arsdale. She attended Louisville Girls School-class of 1943, and she studied at Indiana University in Bloomington. When she was first married, she collected money at a first of its kind 'self serve' filling station. She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, and she was a dance teacher at Arthur Murray dance studio teaching waltz, swing, foxtrot, tango, samba, and rumba. She always had a strong faith and she loved Jesus. She was preceded in death by her first husband William Bradshaw Bell, second husband George E. Gregg, daughter, Lynn Mariucci; grandson, Corey Shelton; brother, Jimmy Van Arsdale; sister, Evelyn "Punkin" Devol and her loving cat, Tiger. Survivors include daughters, Mary-Alice Johnsen (Dave Johnsen) Billie Fredholm (Andy Fredholm) and Jamie Shelton (Bruce Shelton); 9 grandchildren: Sean Mariucci, Erin Mariucci, Dave Johnsen II and wife Angelica, Jeremiah Johnsen and wife Emma, Angela Johnsen-Barnes and husband, Leon Barnes, Stephanie McCullough and husband, Andrew McCullough, Tim Fredholm, Sarah Shelton Wallace and husband, Micah Wallace. 8 great-grandchildren: Madison, DJ, Santiago, Gael Preston, Kai, Ryker, Louise Bell, and Shelton James.

A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at a later date.

Mary Preston, Press, Mom, Grama, Great Grama, also leaves behind her little cat, Brownie. She will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
