Bengtson, Marjorie N. , beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2018.  Marge was born in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Olaf L. Oborg and Teckla Swenson Oborg.  She grew up in Salina and graduated from Marymount College.  After graduation, she taught third grade in Salina and Topeka.  She married Lawrence Bengtson on February 22, 1953, in Salina, Kansas.  Marge received great joy from raising her two sons and being "Gigi" to her grandchildren.  She was involved in numerous organizations and activities, including the St. Johns Hospital Pediatric Service League, the Salina Regional Hospital Auxiliary Board, the Salina Charities League, the Salina Community Theatre Guild, Meals on Wheels, Junior Golf, and the Alter Guild at St. Johns Lutheran Church.  She was a member of Kansas Chapters ED (Salina) and CI (Wichita) of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.  Marge is survived by her husband, Larry Bengtson; sons, Mike (Pam) Bengtson of New York City and David (Mary) Bengtson of Wichita; sister, Marilyn Wilson of Colorado Springs; and grandchildren, Charlie Bengtson, Emily (Coleby) Henzlik and Sloan Bengtson.  Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Maxine Norburg of Topeka.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Salemsborg Lutheran Church in Salemsborg, Kansas.  A memorial has been established at Salemsborg Lutheran Church, 3831 West Salemsborg Road, Salemsborg, Kansas 67456.  Share condolences at www.CozineMemorial.com.
