Marie Hammitt

Marie Hammitt, 96, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Laura Brock; son, Jon Hammitt; and sister, Vera Stauth. Survivors include her sons, Kent Hammitt (Sandy) and Gary Hammitt; grandchildren, Tammy, Kelly, Jeff, Daniel, and Nancy; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Thompson and Doneva Lubbers (Ben); cousin, Melba Ernhart and many nieces and nephews. She was employed at Beechcraft for 30 years, retiring in 1985. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and yearly sister trips. She also volunteered for Meals On Wheels. In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice. Memorial services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, July 18, Riverwalk Church of Christ, 225 N. Waco.
