Mabel Elsie Owens, age 93 of Wichita, Kansas, went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on September 17, 2020. She was born in Randolph, Iowa on February 6, 1927, to Frederick A. and Alta Wren Branson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 62 years, Melvin T. Owens in 2007; also by three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her two daughters, Sherri Stevens of Wichita and Kathryn Young of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Connie Porter (Arthur) of Wichita, Azalea Watkins of Wichita, and Shirley Harper of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Jeffery Young of Phoenix, AZ, MSGT Christopher Stevens (Nicole) of Manvel, ND, Michelle Stevens of Wichita, and Danette Young of Tucson, AZ; great-grandchildren, Austin Stevens, Cade, Lily, and Amelia Stevens; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mabel was strong in her Faith in Jesus and loved helping her family and others who were around her. She also found comfort and peace when she read the book of Psalms in the Bible.
