Lois McPherron

McPherron, Lois Marie, 84, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016. She was a Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. She was a follower of Christ and loved sweets, books, and red lipstick. She retired from Wichita South High School as an English Teacher and Language Arts Department Head. Visitation 6-8:00pm, Friday, Broadway Mortuary. Funeral Service 10:30am, Saturday, Bethany United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by husband Richard McPherron, parents, Grady Taylor and Amelia Taylor and brother Herbert Taylor. Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Showalter and Jody Fryer; son Glen and Julie McPherron; sister, Marylee Gorrell; grandchildren, Justin and Candace Showalter, Evan McPherron and Sarah Novacek, Jill McPherron, Evan Dolley, and great-grandchildren Connor and Gavin.
