Linda Kay Bontrager: August 3, 1950 – January 25, 2025

Linda Kay Bontrager, 74, of Wichita, Kansas, entered into Glory on January 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born on August 3, 1950, to Nelse and Dortha Shaver in Wichita, Kansas. She is survived by her husband, Larry Bontrager; her daughters, Lori Fisher (Matt), Lisa Meyer (David), and daughter of the heart Nicole Ressel (Martin); her cherished grandchildren, Caleb (Lauren) Fisher, Abigail Fisher, Kaylee Meyer, Evan Meyer, Noah Ressel, Frieda Ressel, Emily (Jacob) Meigs, and great-grandson Jake Meigs. Linda is also survived by her brothers, Ralph Shaver and Brad Shaver, as well as numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelse and Dortha Shaver, and her brothers, Denny and Kenneth Earl.

Linda's unwavering faith in Almighty God was the cornerstone of her life, followed closely by her deep love and devotion to her family. She was a devoted mother who loved her daughters fiercely, raising them to love Jesus above all, and to cherish their families as she did. Linda’s strength and independence were hallmarks of her character, and her legacy of faith, love, and devotion will live on through her family.

She found joy in simple pleasures—sharing lunches and shopping with her cousin Brenda Hanson, treasure hunting at garage sales with her best friend Sharon Betzen, and spending time with her loved ones. Linda’s life exemplified the Proverbs 31 woman, and she leaves behind a profound legacy of faith and love. "Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate." — Proverbs 31:31
