Ferland, Levi Leo, 83, entered into eternal life on Friday, June 12, 2015 in Wichita, KS. He was born on July 7, 1931 in Bogue, KS to Euclide and Mary (Marie Benoit) Ferland. He is survived by his wife, Connie (Johnson) Ferland of 62 years. He was a Damar High School graduate in Damar, KS and completed his Army Helicopter Mechanic training at Gary (AFB) Base in Texas to serve in the Korean War effort stationed in Lathrop, CA. He worked at the family farm in Graham County, managed the Ferland’s Derby Service Station in Plainville, KS and worked at “The Coleman Company” in Wichita, KS. He and Connie moved from Plainville to Wichita in 1965. He enjoyed watching TV including baseball and football. He also enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes, catching fish, camping, hunting, pontoon, pontoon boating, gardening, dancing, barbecuing, and attending family and friends social events. He was preceded in death by his parents, Euclide and Mary Ferland; brothers, Raymond and Archie Ferland; sisters, Juliette Schriener and Marcella Ribordy. Other survivors include his brothers, Alcid and Gilbert Ferland; sisters, Ruthie Rempe, Loretta Zwiefel, and Betty Ferland; immediate family and spouses, Cheryl Persinger (Ronnie), Bob Ferland (Treasa), Mike Ferland (Tina); grandkids, Aaron Gerstenkorn (Carin), Jennifer Mills (Travis), Jamie Briggeman (Garrett), Ronda (Persinger) and David Rosenberg and Carrie (Persinger) Cecil; great-grandkids, Ivy Mills, Kia Briggeman, Leilani Day, Aidan and Georgia Emberton, Charlie Cecil; numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary Service, 7 pm, Monday, June 15, and Funeral Mass, 10 am, Tuesday, June 16, both at St. Margaret Mary Church, 2701 S. Pattie.
