Lee Spalding, beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 7, 2017 at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Gertrude, and brother Wilbur. Up to the very end, his great sense of humor could be seen as well as his deep concern for others.

Lee served in the U.S. Air Force before he and Jean moved to Wichita 65 years ago. Lee spent his career in Wichita’s aviation industry, 26 years at Boeing starting out as an electrical inspector for the flight line., Later, he spent 19 years at Cessna as Director Quality Assurance, interfacing with the FAA and certifying and delivering Cessna aircraft.
