Dwyer, Lawrence Albert “Lad”, loving husband, father, brother, mentor, and friend, went to be with his Heavenly Father early morning, December 14, 2015. Lad was born to Jean and Albert Dwyer on October 13, 1937 in Ferndale, MI. He leaves the love of his life and wife of 54 years, Merla Grube Dwyer, his three daughters, Shirley Dwyer, Julie Williams, and Kelly Armstrong, his sister, Sharon Rivas, and his six grandchildren, Ben, Jared, Sara, Marie, Jayley, and Jaxie. Lad was a gifted teacher, pastor, and mechanical engineer. He was also a lover of God's Word, a deacon, elder, and evangelist. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 18 from 6-8pm, and a service celebrating his life will be on Saturday, December 19 at 2pm, both at Olivet Baptist Church, 3440 W. 13th St. Memorial contributions may be made to Youth Horizons and Youth for Christ. Services by Broadway Mortuary.
