Kevin Wayne Dameron, 58, passed away on Tuesday, May 4th in Wichita, KS. Kevin was employed at Global Engineering in Wichita. Viewing will be only for family. The celebration of his life will be 11 am, Saturday, May 8, at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita.
Kevin was born August 15, 1962, to Floyd and Verlean Dameron in Wichita. He attended and graduated from Wichita South High School in 1980. There, in Industrial Arts classes, he began his love for woodworking and his hobby was brought to life. Kevin furthered his interest in woodworking by attending WSU Tech for Cabinetmaking and Millworking. Thankfully, Kevin was eventually able to make his hobby into a career in making specialty cabinets for aircraft.
Kevin was a loving son, brother, and proud father to three wonderful children, Nicholas Dameron, Samantha Dameron and Mitchel Dameron. He was a friend to all that knew him and loved by his family. He will be greatly missed.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmett and Mary Kate Dameron, and Wayne and June Sampson. He is survived by his parents, Floyd and Verlean of Wichita, his children, Nick (Chris) of Gardner, KS, Samantha of Austin, TX, and Mitchel of Ashland City, TN. Kevin is also survived by his siblings, Laura Gulledge of Wichita, June (Larry) Gluesing of Haysville, Floyd (Lyda) Dameron of Ogden, Utah, Rachael Barnett of Wichita, and Matthew Dameron of Wichita, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established with Botanica, The Wichita Gardens. Services by Cozine Memorial Group- Broadway Mortuary.
