Kenneth Heizer

On Sunday, November 4, 2018, Kenneth Edward Heizer , committed husband and father, made his transition to heaven at the age of 78. Ken was born one of twelve children on April 14, 1940, to George and Elizabeth Heizer in Marysville, OH. He spent 4 years in the service before getting his Business Administration degree from Emporia State University. He worked in sales, real estate, business development and banking. On August 16, 1969, he married Kay Gabel, partnering with her in a life-long journey of 49 years of constant acceptance of love of others. Ken is survived by son; Darren, three foster daughters; CeCe Alexander, Laurie Anderson, and Nancy Benaway, 5 grandchildren; Cameron, Alex, Brooke, Ava and Gavin; as well as five brothers, Jim, Bob, Pearl, Fred and Tom and one sister, Phyllis. Loved by everyone because of his acceptance of people from all walks of life, Ken enjoyed laughing with others while humming his own tunes. A service to Celebrate the Life of Ken will be held on Saturday, November 17, at Unity Church at 2160 N Oliver Ave, Wichita, KS 67208, at one o’clock.
