Kenneth Cooley

Kenneth N. Cooley, 87, died Wednesday night, March 23rd, 2016. At the time he had been a resident at Lake Point. Visitation hours will be from 4:30-6:30 pm, Saturday, March 26. There will be a Rosary at 1 PM on Monday, March 28th, followed by a service at 2 pm, all at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway. There will be no graveside service. Mr. Cooley was born in Kingman, Kansas and graduated from Cunningham High School. He married his wife, Marie Cooley, and shortly after they moved to Wichita, Kansas and later resided in Maize, Ks. Mr. Cooley worked for over 30 years as as vice president for Dodson Manufacturing in Wichita, Kansas with his brother, Charles Cooley. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Slusser, and one grandchild. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Cooley; 3 daughters and their spouses, Terry Keeter, Verla Pope, and Kathy Gates; 3 sons and their spouses, Kim Cooley, Randy Cooley and Brian Cooley; and 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five brother-in-laws, Eugene Becker of Enid, Okla., William Becker Jr. of Isabel, Victor Becker of Maize, Walter Becker of Wichita and Don Becker of Cunningham; and five sister-in-laws, Irene Spade of Phoenix, Ariz., Loretta Schwartz of Kingman, Caroline Dyke of Cunningham, Gladys Randolph of Phoenix, Ariz., and Pat Zubeck of Wichita.
