Kathleen Brown

July 17, 1944 — December 2, 2020

Kathleen Sue Brown, 76, went to be with her heavenly Father on December 2, 2020. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in Jesus Christ, supported her in her last days and ultimately gave her peace. Kathy was born to the late Lee and Hope Petty in El Dorado, Kansas on July 17, 1944. She was blessed with a loving family. She married her best friend, the late Richard S. Brown, on August 27, 1965 in Florida. Kathy and Richard raised three children with patience, discipline, and humility. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to daily seek out Christ and actively passed on her spiritual heritage. Kathleen is survived by her children and their families: her daughter, Kim Evans (Dan), David Evans (Alexa) Zoe and Mischa, Karyssa Botinelly (Brendan) Connor, Amanda Beck (Austin), Laura Dowty (Ian); son, Kevin Brown (Amy) Lilly, Annie, Sophie; son, Matthew Brown (Christi), Kaitlyn and Brooke; and her brother, Ted Petty (Susan). She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brown; parents, Lee and Hope Petty; and her brother, Terry Petty. Kathy will be buried at White Chapel Cemetery, Wichita, KS, in a private graveside ceremony.
