Send a Sympathy Card
Saturday, April 19, 2025
Starts at 12:00 pm (Central time)
In the quiet moments of April 3rd, 2025, time stood still. James Edward Sanders left us, as gentle as a falling leaf on a hill. Most knew him as James, but all knew him as "Bud", a name that echoed like a whisper in the wind. Bud was preceded in death by his beloved Patricia Irene Sanders, the rock upon which his heart rested. Beautiful in her grace, the light that guided him through every storm. Also preceding him in death, his parents, Sanford James Sanders & Maxine Fuller Sanders; and grandparents, "Ma & Pa" whose love shaped him into the man he became. Along with them, his siblings, Phillip George Sanders, and Agnes Lavonna Barclay. James is survived by his siblings, Thomas Lee Sanders, Judy Hawkins, Sharon Stapleton, Belinda Ruddell & Sandra Emery. Each one carrying a piece of his spirit. Along with 5 cherished children, and a legacy of love passed down through grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each a living testament to the enduring bond of family. A life well-lived, from military service to a concrete Ready-Mix driver, his hands shaped the world, as his heart shaped those around him. A man whose laughter will echo and whose wisdom will remain. A steady presence in every memory. Now, free from sorrow and pain, his spirit soars as stars softly weep. For in our hearts his memory will keep. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Bridgeport Missionary Baptist Church, 6161 S. Meridian Ave., at 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 19, where loved ones can gather to honor a life well-lived, to share stories, laughter, & tears. To celebrate the enduring spirit of a man whose legacy will live on forever.
