Henry Daniel Pfeifer passed away peacefully January 26, 2022 at home with wife and daughters at his side. He had multiple complications from an emergent surgery in November. Dan was born September 28, 1935 and proceeded in death by parents, Rev. Henry Pfeifer, and Anna Katherine Fuhr Pfeifer and first wife Roxanne Kohrs Pfeifer.
Dan and Roxanne had two daughters Cheryl (Skip) Moore, Cary, Illinois and Lanae Kelley, Muskegon, Michigan. In 1993 Dan married Cathy Scott and gained another daughter Lori Bishop Ervin (Matt) Wichita, KS, and son David Bishop (Kim) Wichita, KS. Dan and Kate have nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Other survivors include sister Esther Pfeifer, Rochester Minnesota and brother in law Gary Scott, Scottsdale, AZ.
Dan was an educator. He received his BA and master’s at WSU. He also attended Sioux Falls, SD, and Augustana Universities. Dan received his PhD at University of Northern Colorado in student personnel administration.
Dan went to Kent State to receive a certificate to teach German at Derby High School. He was Associate Dean at University College, WSU. He taught Algebra and Statistics at WSU and Butler Community College.
Dan loved all sports and played many. He especially loved football and WSU basketball. Dan was a master gardener and enjoyed fishing. Dan was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather (Papa). He loved the Lord and his family dearly. He will be greatly missed by many and loved forever.
