Harder, Helen Z., 6, born Feb. 2, 2009 in Wichita, KS, fell asleep in the Lord on Feb. 28, 2015 after a lifetime fighting Schinzel-Giedion syndrome; she passed away surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm, Monday, at St. George Orthodox Cathedral in Wichita with graveside services taking place 11:00 am, Tuesday at the Maize Park Cemetery in Maize, KS. She is survived by her parents James and Jennifer, her brother Ezra James, her grandparents Janet Keagy, Jim Schroeder, Teresa Branaman, Don & Janie Harder; great-grandfather, Orval Eugene Davidson; aunt and uncle Mike & Jessica and cousin Rosie Rudner; aunt and uncle Karen & Aaron and cousins Katrina, Samuel & Brooklyn Haywood; aunt and uncle Jeremy & Leslie and cousins Mickala & Kylie Woods; aunt and uncle Joe & Krystal and cousins Sadie & Mark Smith. She was preceded in death by her namesake Helen Beasley, her maternal great-grandmother, and husband James Beasley, who cared deeply for Helen. During her short stay on this earth she made a huge impact in all our lives. She was born February 2, 2009 and fought her whole life against Schinzel-Giedion Syndrome, a progressive, degenerative disease. She was well-cared for over the years by nurses Jane, Dana, Alyssa, Maureen, and Maria, as well as Nana Janet, mom, and dad, and doctor-in-training brother Ezra. She will be dearly missed.
