Harold Dean Coleman (75), retired Boeing Supervisor, passed away Saturday, January 20th, 2018 in his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Leola Coleman; son Chris Coleman; and brother Don Coleman. His survivors include wife of 30 years, Lona Coleman; sons Kevin Coleman and wife Stacey, Neil Coleman, Keith Hayden and wife Tami, and Kevin Hayden and wife Traci; daughters Rhonda Grubbs, Melissa Holmes and husband Chris, and Lori Huckaby and husband Tony. He also had 19 grandchildren; Stephanie, Shelby, Aiden, Brendon, Camden, Peyton, Morgan, Erika, Logan, Trey, Gannon, Crystal, Christina, Shayla, Daylen, Kaela, Braydee, Kamren, and Joshua; and 4 great grandchildren; Taylen, Peyton, Ensley, and Pyper.
Harold was an eccentric, energetic, high spirited husband, dad, and grandpa. If there’s anything he loved, it was fishing, Chiefs football, and watching his kids and grandkids do what they loved; may it be sports, plays, concerts, or competitions. As a former air traffic controller for the FAA, he loved to fly planes, and took his many grandkids out on rides along with him (at least those who were brave enough to bare the bumpy venture.) He was a huge fan of Ronald Reagan (until he got fired by him in ‘81.) He loved listening to Classic Country; George Jones, Alan Jackson, and Vince Gill. He also loved Elvis, and would tell anyone who would listen about the conspiracy theories that said he was still alive. He even had the Elvis glasses and the unmatchable charisma. His family members knew him as the life of the party, the one with the jokes, and the one with the booming voice that could be heard from miles away. Whether it be driving the boat at the Toronto cabin, or walking down the landing in Branson, he loved traveling and being with his family. Harold loved, and was deeply loved by every single person in his family, and will be greatly missed by anyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
