Georgia Lee "Georgie" Denne

Georgia Lee "Georgie" Denne, a beloved figure in her family and community, peacefully passed away on March 6, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 89. Born on February 4, 1936, in Sequoya County, Oklahoma, Georgie was a shining light, known for her love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those around her.

As a thriving business owner for three decades, Georgie's career in medical billing and transcription was not just a job; it was her passion. She developed numerous computer programs that not only enhanced her work but also showed her dedication to serving her clients. Her professional achievements were remarkable, yet it was the warm relationships she built through her work that resonated most deeply with her.

A graduate of Greenwood High School, she proudly stood as valedictorian, showcasing her determination and intellect from an early age. Georgie was not only smart but also possessed a personality that drew people in. Described as loving, caring, and welcoming, she embodied the essence of nurturing. Her humor, wit, and a touch of stubbornness added to her charm, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Georgie's heart was fullest when surrounded by her family. She cherished the simple joys of life, from the happiness of Christmas parties and lighting Advent Candles to baking alongside her grandkids and great grandkids. Her signature recipes of banana pudding and apple pies brought smiles and comfort to countless family gatherings. The yearly vacations to Colorado with her son’s family became cherished traditions filled with laughter and love.

Her hobbies reflected her caring nature; reading and cross-stitching were more than just pastimes—they were ways she expressed love. Every lovingly crafted baby blanket she made for family and donations was a testament to her generous spirit.

She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward: her daughter Carol Rotramel and son-in-law Steve Rotramel, her son John Denne and daughter-in-law Tracey Denne, grandchildren Angela Jabara, Rachell Rotramel, Hannah Denne, and Parker Denne, as well as great-grandchildren Henry, Lewis, and Sophie Jabara and Lucille Mae Rotramel. Georgie's siblings, including one brother and five sisters, remember her fondly as a steadfast presence in their lives.

Though Georgie is preceded in death by her loving husband George Denne, her mother Margaret Braden, father John Braden, and brother John Braden, the legacy of her love and compassion will forever remain in the hearts of her family.

Georgia Lee "Georgie" Denne will be missed beyond measure. Her life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and a deep connection to family. As they gather to celebrate her remarkable journey, her family and friends will remember the profound influence she had on their lives, holding tight to the memories that will live on in their hearts.
