Frieda Shanks

TOGETHER AGAIN - Frieda Mary (Hall) Shanks, age 103, was born on May 19, 1918, to Dolphus Roland Hall and Hester Lee (Frazier) Hall in Ash Flat, Arkansas. She married Joe Chris Shanks on October 30, 1938, and that union lasted until his death on February 11, 1998. From that union three children were born: Shirley Ann (Shanks) Dale, Bobby Joe (Janet) Shanks, and Fred Warren (Stephanie) Shanks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, and two grandsons, Jerry Dale and Mark Dale. Frieda is survived by her three children; five grandchildren, Cindy (Shanks) Ramsey, Christopher (Sheri) Shanks, Kathy (Eldon) Glaze, Traci Shanks, and Derrick (Katherine) Shanks; ten great-grandchildren, Cassie (Jared) Scism, Michael (Haylee) Ramsey, Brandon (Brookelyn) Ramsey, Ryan (Brenna) Shanks, Colton (Kelsey) Shanks, Gabriella Lovato, Kendall Dale, Bailey Dale, Eli Shanks, and Josephine Shanks; and five great-great-grandchildren, Julia Scism, Aiden Ramsey, Lydia Shanks, Raven Clark and River Clark. Frieda was a master gardener, talented painter, a writer of poetry and a faithful Christian with the most wonderful alto voice.
