Franklin C. "Frank" Bergquist

Franklin C. "Frank" Bergquist, 83, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023. Frank was a retired Sgt. First Class in the United States Army. He was the CEO of DAV Thrift stores for over twenty years, and also headed up Operation Stand Down to benefit homeless veterans. In his leisure, he was an avid reader and collector of books as well as a Civil War history buff. Frank was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Bergquist; parents, John and Mildred Bergquist; son, Clyde Mears, Jr.; and granddaughter, Melissa Kumm. Survivors include his wife, Roni Bergquist; daughter, Debbie Gildhouse (Mike); son, Mike Winters (Julie); brother, John Bergquist; sister, Luella Bergquist; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, March 3, at West Side United Methodist Church, 1313 W. Lydia, with viewing one hour prior to services.
