Frances Vose

Vose, Frances Lillian, 91 years of age, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Founders Crest-Comfort Care in Wichita, KS. “Fran” daughter of Frederick and Rosetta Wellham, loving wife of the late Roy E. Vose, Jr., passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She is survived by her two daughters, Jayne Parde (Scott) of Portage, MI and Janet Zerngast (David) of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Ashley (Scott), Carey (Bobby), Todd (Tara), and Sean; 10 great-grandchildren. Frances met her husband, Roy Vose, Jr., in London during World War II. They married in Waterloo, IA and moved to California in 1956. Frances moved to Michigan in 1993 and to Kansas in February of 2010. Frances worked as an Academic Advisor at Cal State Fullerton until her retirement in 1987 and continued to be invested in her family’s education. She also loved working on her family’s genealogy, reading, painting, and being politically involved. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
