Florence Wilson

Wilson, Florence A (Pflieger) passed away 24 July 2017 at the age of 94. Florence was born 16 March 1923 in Humbird, WI. Florence attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison where she met Frank J. Wilson, a lieutenant in the Army Air Corp. He danced his way into her heart and they were married in Madison on 26 January 1944. They lived in Texas, Missouri, Kansas, Louisiana, and Florida. Florence worked many years for the Internal Revenue Service in Wichita and then New Orleans, retiring in 1983. Florence was a very strong woman with a fierce and brilliant mind who loved her family above all else. Florence was preceded in death by her husband Frank and son Kelly. She is survived by her daughter Marsha Allen (Bob) of Derby and sons Kent (Ann) Wilson and Bret Wilson, both of Wichita; grandchildren Chris Wilson (Austin, TX), Jennifer (Naaman) Ritchie, Bridget (Grady) Newman, and Kim (Jay) Harter (all of Wichita), Scott (Martha) McCabe (Derby), and Clay (Gianna) Wilson (Valley Center), and 13 great-grandchildren with one on the way. Memorial Mass to be celebrated 10 AM Monday, 31 July, at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Arrangements by Broadway Mortuary.
