Esta V. Cook, 99, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, April 3, 11:00 am, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway. Viewing will occur one hour prior to services. 

Esta was preceded in death by her husband, O. James Cook; parents, Samuel and Minnie Bangle; son, Jared Cook; brothers, Albert, Mike, Chet, William, Richard, Phillip, and Doyle; and sisters, Alice Heron, Phyllis Lutz, and Letha Acheson. Survivors include her daughters, Marietta (Tom) Morgan and Julia Cook of Wichita; daughter-in-law, Stephennie Cook of Wichita; son, Stephen (Okhui) Cook of Wichita; brother, Jesse (Ranada) Bangle of Houston, TX; sisters, Minnie (Vern) Gano of Spanaway, WA, Norma Lemon of Hill City, KS; grandchildren, Michael Morgan of Union Town, KS, Lisa Gottlob of Georgetown, TX, Karen McClintock of Kechi, KS , Jason Cook of Humboldt, KS, Janelle Cook of Wichita, Joshua Cook of Wichita, Tressa Huffman of Wichita, and Stacey Cook of Wichita; 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
