Jessup, Duane, After a valiant, but losing battle with severe dementia, Duane has gone home to Jesus, the Great Physician, and he is now well and whole. He is reunited with his parents, Roy and May Jessup, his beloved son, Michael Andrew, and great-grandchildren, Emma and Andrew. This insidious disease, which took away his memory, and eventually his health, could not destroy his gentle spirit. Duane served in the Navy in WWII. He worked as a petroleum accountant and office manager for Aylward Drilling Co. until his retirement in 1990. He is survived by his wife LaVerne of 71 years; 3 sons, Rodney “Skip” (Pam), Tim (Sherry), and David; 2 daughters, Romi (Lies) (Randy) Slaughter and Kelley (Randy) Barker; 25 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Monty Joe Jessup and many friends. This dear gentle man, so beloved, will be greatly missed.
