Donald Crawford

Crawford, Donald Ray, was born Feb. 12, 1938 to Paul and Clara Crusinbery Crawford in Aline, OK. Donald went to be with the Lord Sept. 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by parents; sister, Pauline Hein; a child; and a grandson. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Shelly; six children: Ernest of Wichita, David (Dianna) of Oklahoma City, OK, Karen (Morton) Kevin of Wichita, Dwayne (Gina) of San Antonio, TX, Mary Jayroe (Brodrick) of Wichita, and Donna Ornelas (Hector) of Wichita; 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Don was a born again Christian and was baptized at Grace Baptist Church in April of 1966. He served his country in the National Guard and Army Reserves. He was employed by Cessna Aircraft for 43 years retiring in 2000. Don loved being with his family which also included many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nephews and Nieces. He also loved to fish, hunt, and go camping. One of his favorite places to fish was the Gulf of Mexico, especially at Rockport and Port Aransas, TX. Don enjoyed painting pictures of Biblical scenes, wildlife, ships and mountain scenery. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and everyone who was fortunate to know him. Visitation will be 2-4 pm Sunday at Broadway Mortuary with Funeral Services 1pm, Monday at Grace Baptist Church. Graveside service will follow at 4:30pm at the Eagle Chief Cemetery in Alfalfa County, OK. Services by Broadway Mortuary.
