DIANA KAY SAMUELSON, 73, beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, friend and educator passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, following a seven-year back-and-forth battle with breast, bone, liver and brain cancer. She was born in Oklahoma City on March 8, 1949. She was adopted by Rolin and Agnes Tracy. She graduated from Wichita South High School in 1967 before attending Phillips University and Wichita State University—where she received a Bachelor and Master Degree in Education. Diana is survived by her brother, Loren Tracy, son, Andrew Samuelson and beloved dog, Suzie.
Diana worked 34 years as an elementary teacher and reading teacher. Some of her favorite hobbies—in addition to talking to anyone that listened—were reading, sewing and traveling with some of her close friends.
A visitation will be held from 3-t-5 p.m. on Friday, September 16 at Broadway Mortuary(1147 S. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67211). Service will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 19 at University Congregational Church (9209 E 29th St. N. Wichita, KS 67226).
