Delbert Rohr

Delbert Rohr, a retired purchaser/manager at KG&E, passed away on July 25, 2023, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on October 30, 1938, in Ness City, Kansas. Delbert Rohr was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend to many.

Delbert Rohr had a fulfilling career as a purchaser/manager at KG&E. His dedication and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Delbert's commitment to excellence and his ability to adapt to changing circumstances made him an invaluable asset to the company.

Outside of his professional life, Delbert Rohr had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He had a passion for golfing, fishing, camping, bowling, and shooting pool. These activities allowed him to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature while spending quality time with his loved ones.

Delbert's family and friends were incredibly important to him. He is survived by his four daughters: Anita Liddeke and husband Lyle, Eileen Whitmer and husband Richard, Karen Johnson and husband Keith, and Sharon Wike and husband Rodney. Delbert also leaves behind his sister JoAnn Brown.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Rita Mae Rohr, his son Rick Rohr as well as his parents Ludwig and Anna Rohr. Delbert also mourned the loss of his brother Gerald Rohr, sister Opal Seiwert, and sister Leona Lyon.

Delbert was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren who brought him immeasurable joy throughout their lives. His legacy continues through 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild who will remember his love and cherish the memories they shared together.

The memory of Delbert Rohr will be honored during a series of services. Visitation will take place on July 30, 2023, at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita, Kansas. The visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. A Rosary service will be held on July 31, 2023, starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m., both at St. Anne Catholic Church in Wichita, Kansas. The final service, a graveside service, will be held at Resthaven Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas, on July 31, 2023, starting at 12:00 p.m.

Delbert Rohr will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever be remembered. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
