Debby Tresner

Debby Tresner, 65, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021. Debby was born on December 29th,1955 in El Dorado Kansas. She graduated from High School in the small town of Douglas Kansas. She was the youngest of three children, the only girl in the bunch. She was a student at Friends University, performed as a professional vocalist, worked many years as an incredible florist, loved theater, and served in ministry in many different capacities.

Debby was a fiery ginger with the most powerful voice. When Debby sang, her voice filled the room and inspired your heart. There is no doubt that Debby is singing in heaven’s choir. She loved her family deeply. She adored her kids and grandkids, and constantly prayed for God’s very best in their lives. To each of her grandkids...she loved you BIGGER! Debby was not only known for her incredible voice, but she is also famous for her baking skills. She made the best cinnamon rolls and pies, skills she passed on to her daughters. Debby adored her family and loved her Savior Jesus. She loved all people and prayed consistently for those she called “her kids”. Her home was open to all, and she always had a chair for you at her table.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, heaven’s cowboy, Gary Tresner and her parents, Ralph and Elda Cooley. Survivors include her children, Sarah Chanowski, Matthew Chanowski (Randa), Daniel Chanowski (Laura), and Beth Roszel (John); brothers, Robert Cooley (Jan), and Fred Cooley (Linda); grandchildren, Grace, Gaven, Madison, Mariah, Bailey, Avery, Naomi, and Levi. There will be a Celebration of Life Service at 10 am, Friday, May 28, at Bethel Life Center, 3777 S. Meridian Ave. Donations can be made to Bethel Life Center. https://blcwichita.com/giving.
