David Smith

October 22, 1952 — February 17, 2021

David Lewis Smith, 68, retired self employed Plasterer, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021. He helped start Smith and Sons Plastering business with his father, and eventually his brothers joined the family business too. Their work was well known, landing them several high profile jobs over time. David is survived by his wife, Lorita Smith; daughter, Kacie Smith; step-son, Jesse Glaze (Kayzia); brothers, Larry Smith (Cheri) and Kevin Smith (Pansy Frost); sister, Verna Lee Asbell (Richard); step-mother, Erma Smith; step-brothers, Randy Ferguson (Martha) and Lance Ferguson; step-sister, Denise Jones (Joe Thompson); grandchildren, Jaidyn Leffew, Rosabella Lyn Glaze and Lillyanne Rue Glaze. David was preceded in death by his parents, Wilber and Maxine Smith. Open viewing hours will be on Monday, Feb. 22, from 2-5 pm, and visitation with family, 6-8 pm, Tuesday, Feb. 23, both at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway.
