David Lane

David Lane, age 81, walked into Jesus' arms on May 22, 2023. He was born on Sept. 14, 1941, to F. S. "Buck" and Ardella Lane in Wichita, KS. David attended Wichita West High School and graduated in 1959 and attended Wichita State University. While attending WSU, David began his long career at KG&E, now Evergy. He retired in 2001, returned in 2003 to complete a 50+ year career and finally retiring in 2013. David married Kelley Rose, the love of his life, in November of 1961. They recently celebrated 61 wonderful years of marriage. To their union three children were added - Linda (Kevin) Schneider, Doug (Lana) Lane and Cary (Eric) Miller. Five grandchildren were added over time - Jared (Alecia) Lane, Lauran Schneider, Jonathan (Bobbie) Lane, Jordan and Regan Miller. David also loved his 6 great-grandkids - Owen Lane, Jamie Lane, Madelyn Lane, Jesse Lane, Clara Lane and Johnson Lane. Funeral services will be 10:30am, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at West Side Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Memorial may be made to Mid America Nazarene University.
